Pepper's Blessing

Pepper's baby blessing was given on Sunday, March 21, by her daddy. Several family members came. Here are a couple of pictures we took afterward!

Blessing dress and bonnet made by obachan.

Hehe, Josh looks like he's in the painting!

Bouldering at Moes Valley

The weather cleared up last weekend so our friends Felicia and McKay were finally able to come visit us and go bouldering. On Saturday Josh and I were able to join them (and Jacob, Ashley, Aaron, Amanda, and Cambrie) for a little bit while my parents went to the temple. Josh had been dying to go bouldering for a while now and the weather was perfect. Here are some pictures.

Ojichan and Obachan

Ojichan is Japanese for grandpa and Obachan is Japanese for grandma (the "i" and "a" are long.) They flew in all the way from Ohio to visit last week!

They helped immensely with Pepper... holding her, bouncing her, feeding her, changing her diaper, burping her, etc.

I also received tons of help with cooking, cleaning, sewing, and laundry. (To see some of the food my mom made, click here.)

While they were here we went shopping, ate at Costa Vida and Ruby Tuesday, went to an SUU gymnastics meet, went to St. George for more shopping, and they went to the temple while we went bouldering. We also had Pepper's baby blessing on Sunday.

Thanks so much for your help, guys!

Sleeping Pepper

Here are some random pictures of Pepper we have. It's easiest to photograph her when she's sleeping.

I photographed her on chairs because I like how little she is.

With her cousin Ryann.

This is her favorite way to sleep.

OK so she's not sleeping in this one. But it's a good picture.

This is her other favorite way to sleep.

Cambrie and Pepper

When we saw this picture of Cambrie as a newborn (left) and how much Pepper looks like her, we had to try and duplicate the picture. Amanda lent us the dress and blanket. What do you guys think?

Tiny

Since most of our pictures of Pepper are close-up shots or shots of just her, you can't tell just how small she is. And since I know she's going to grow up too fast, I wanted to do something that will help me remember how little 18 inches really is. So here are some pictures of Pepper next to some random household objects.

One Week Old

Pepper is one week old today!
Some notes:
  • She lost her umbilical cord thingie.
  • She can roll over onto her back.
  • She likes to suck on her hands :(
